Our Beginning
In 1976, the Alexandria–Fairfax (VA) Alumni Chapter was chartered, becoming the first alumni chapter established in Northern Virginia. Guided by the principles of Kappa Alpha Psi, the chapter was founded to promote leadership, mentorship, and meaningful service within the community. From its earliest days, the chapter set a standard of excellence that continues to shape its legacy today.

1976 – Chapter Founded
The Alexandria–Fairfax Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. was chartered, becoming the first alumni chapter established in Northern Virginia and laying the foundation for decades of leadership and service.
1990 – Scholarship Endowment Established
The Alexandria–Fairfax Kappa Scholarship Endowment Fund was established, creating a lasting commitment to supporting students pursuing higher education throughout Northern Virginia.
2000 – Golden Heritage Recognition
The chapter established its Golden Heritage recognition to honor brothers whose years of dedication strengthened the foundation of Alexandria–Fairfax and its enduring tradition of service.
2010 – Expansion of Mentorship Programs
The chapter expanded its mentorship and youth development initiatives through Guide Right programs, strengthening leadership development and academic support for young men across Northern Virginia.
2026 – 50th Anniversary Celebration
